Privacy Policy

Effective November 4, 2026

Who we are

What's It Really Cost? ("we", "us") operates the YouTube channel What's It Really Cost? and the website whatsitreallycost.com. Our internal publishing tool, the "What's It Really Cost? Uploader" (the "App"), uses YouTube API Services.

Use of YouTube API Services

The App uses YouTube API Services to upload and manage videos on our own YouTube channel. By using the App you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Who uses the App

The App is an internal tool. Its only user is the owner of the What's It Really Cost? channel. It is not offered to the public, and no outside user can sign in to it.

Information the App accesses

The App does not access any other YouTube user's private data, and it does not collect information from viewers of our videos.

How the information is used

We use this information only to publish our own videos, update their titles, descriptions and thumbnails, and review how our own channel is performing.

Storage and security

OAuth credentials and channel information are stored only on computers we control. We do not sell, rent or share this information with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising. We keep channel statistics only as long as we need them to run the channel, and we refresh or delete stored API data at least every 30 days, as the YouTube API Services Developer Policies require.

Cookies

This website does not use cookies or tracking scripts. The App does not place cookies on any device.

Revoking access

The channel owner can revoke the App's access at any time from the Google security settings page at security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. When access is revoked, we delete the stored credentials.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
